Door 3: the Oopbuy Mall, SelfShop and Oopbuy Selection

Oopbuy's own shop sits next to the agent service and now opens first in keyword search. Its marketing is detailed. Its terms, on the public pages, are not.

Door 3

One shop, several names

The Mall appears under different labels depending on where you enter. The SelfShop page has a red "Mall" header and a FOUNDRY SELECT banner with the line "Straight from Source, Premium Goods". A newer Mall front page lists New In, Hot Sellers and category panels. In search results the same stock shows up on a tab called Oopbuy Selection.

These are one door for our purposes: items sold through Oopbuy's own shop rather than bought from a third-party seller on your behalf. Product pages opened from the Selection tab use the address path /foundry/OFFICIAL/.

What the Mall says about itself

Click "Why Choose Oopbuy Selection?" above the search results and a panel opens with three promises. Direct from the source: "directly connected to brand factories", with authenticity and traceability, cutting out layers of markup. Strict factory selection: factories pass "multi-level screening", every batch is "randomly inspected by third-party organizations", and if there are quality issues "the platform will take severe action against the factory".

Curated finds: picks are "co-selected with fashion and lifestyle influencers" with a "high repurchase rate".

These are marketing statements. They describe how Oopbuy says it sources Mall stock. None of them is a refund rule, a return window or a statement of what you can do if an item arrives wrong. The panel names no inspection body, and we found no published report from one.

Read the claims against the platform's own rules and they do not change much. The counterfeit rule still applies to anything in the warehouse, and the Shopping Guidelines still say the platform offers no guarantee of authenticity for goods bought through the agent service. What the panel adds is a promise about how Mall stock is chosen. It would carry more weight with a named inspection body, a sample report or a refund rule attached; on 2026-10-15 it had none of those.

Two lists: what the Oopbuy Mall publishes and what it does not
Checked on oopbuy.com public pages, logged out, 2026-10-15.

What the Mall has not published

We read the public help centre, the Returns and Refunds page, the Return and exchange services page and the Mall pages themselves, logged out, on 2026-10-15. This is what we could not find:

  • A return or exchange window written for Mall items. The 5-day guarantee is defined as a third-party seller's service; the Mall is not a third-party seller.
  • Who the seller of record is for a Mall item.
  • Whether Mall items go through the same inbound inspection and free photos as agent orders.
  • Product terms on the item page itself: a /foundry/OFFICIAL/ page opened logged out showed no product details at all, so terms may sit behind login.

Where a rule is missing we say "not published" and stop there. If you need any of these answers before buying, ask [email protected] or the 24/7 chat, and keep the reply.

None of this establishes that Mall items cannot be returned. It means our dated review did not locate a dedicated policy in the public pages checked. If you get an answer from support, note the date and the name of the agent who answered, and keep the chat transcript until the item has arrived and you are happy with it. We will add any published Mall terms to the change log as soon as they appear.

Reading a Mall price

Mall prices are shown in US dollars, often very low: on 2026-10-15 the SelfShop front page listed winter gloves at $2.68 and knitted gloves at $0.31, and the Hot Sellers panel showed items from $0.04 with labels such as "100+ sold".

What the dollar figure includes is not stated. On Door 1 you pay the seller's domestic freight on top of the item price; for Mall items the public pages do not say whether a domestic leg exists or is already inside the price. International shipping is in any case a separate second payment once the item is in a parcel. Compare a Mall item and an agent-order item on total cost, not on the headline number.

How to tell a Mall listing from an agent listing

Three quick tests, in order of reliability.

  1. The address. /foundry/OFFICIAL/ in the path means Mall. A captured Taobao, 1688 or Weidian listing comes from a link you pasted or a 1688 or Taobao tab.
  2. The tab. In search results, the underlined tab tells you where you are. Oopbuy Selection is the default; agent-order results are behind the 1688 and Taobao tabs.
  3. The currency and wording. Mall cards carry USD prices and Mall branding (Foundry Select, Straight from Source). Agent listings carry the seller's own title, usually translated from Chinese.

Paste the address into the link sorter if you are unsure. It treats any oopbuy.com path starting with /foundry/, /SelfShop or /newMall as Door 3.
