Oopbuy updates: promotions, community and change log
Dated promotions from the official event calendar, what buyers' channels can and cannot tell you, and a log of changes we have tracked.
Official promotions and notices, with end dates
The official event calendar, read 2026-10-15, listed these. Each one expires; check the calendar before relying on any of them.
- FALL10: a 25% shipping coupon with the code FALL10, ending 2026-10-31 23:59.
- POINTSHAUL: a 40% discount on points-mall items, ending 2026-10-31 23:59.
- Thursday Discord giveaway: weekly, 20% shipping coupons.
- Shoot a video: up to $10 plus a 15% discount coupon (permanent event).
- Share your experience: cash reward up to 100% (permanent event; terms on the event page).
- New users: the registration pop-up advertised a 3500 CNY coupon bundle plus a 15% shipping discount, read 2026-10-10. Coupon bundles come with minimum spends; read each coupon before counting it as money.
How to read a coupon before counting it: check what it applies to (shipping or goods), the minimum spend, the expiry date and whether it stacks with another code. A 25% shipping coupon is worth a quarter of your second bill, which on a light parcel may be small. A large coupon bundle split into dozens of small coupons with minimum spends is worth far less than its headline figure.
Community feedback: what each channel can tell you
Buyer reports are useful for one thing official pages cannot give you: how the rules play out in practice. Each channel has limits.
- Discord: the official server is linked in the Oopbuy footer. Its invite counter showed about 188 thousand members on 2026-10-11. It is run by Oopbuy, so treat it as an official channel, not neutral ground.
- Reddit: r/oopbuy was created on 2024-08-20. Whether Oopbuy staff run it is not stated.
- Trustpilot: the Oopbuy page shows "rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines". We quote no score from it.
- YouTube and TikTok: haul and QC videos show real photos and parcel weights, but rarely which door an item came through. Ask before copying a buyer's choice.
- App stores: the iOS app "Oopbuy: Shop China Direct" lists Openbuy Technology Xiamen Limited as seller; the Android listing showed an update on Sep 22, 2026.
When a community post disagrees with an official page, the post shows what happened once; the page shows what Oopbuy committed to in writing.
When you read a buyer report, look for three details before trusting it: which door the item came through, the date, and whether the buyer quotes an official page or only their own experience. A report from before 2026-10-15 about search results, for example, describes a page that no longer looks the same.
Change log: what changed and when

- 2026-10-31: FALL10 and POINTSHAUL scheduled to end.

18 October 2026: buying guidance reviewed
